DERBY - Hearn, Judith Barton (Melzer), 67, retired English Teacher, died Saturday, June 27, 2009. Viewing: 2-8 pm Tuesday, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby with family present from 5-7 pm. Memorial service: 2 pm, Wednesday, July 1, 2009, College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st, Wichita. Judith is preceded in death by her parents, John and Agnes Barton and sister, Jonnie June Haring. Survivors: husband, Ross; sons, Kyle Melzer of Washington State, Curt Melzer of Wichita; daughter Christy (Russ) Bomberger and their 3 children of Olathe; step-children, Kent (Susan) Hearn and 1 child of Derby; Steve (Theresa) Hearn and 3 children of Derby, Elizabeth (Larry) Lankford and 3 children of Derby; sister, Janice (Norman) Menzie of Derby.
