Mrs. Belle Coate, widow of L.L. Coate, died at her home Friday at midnight of a heart attack. Death was unexpected.
Mrs. Coate, a retired school teacher, was a lifetime resident of Wabash. She was the daughter of Cornelius and Elizabeth Jane (Rowan) McCarty. In 1926 she married Luther L. Coate in Wabash and he died in 1928. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Bay View Club and the Liberary Social Circle.
Miss Fannie McCarty, Wabash, a sister, is the only surviving relative.
Funeral services will be held in the resident Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Dr. Ware W. Wimberly officiating. #Burial will be in the Falls Cemetery. The body was taken from the Jones Funeral Home to the residence Saturday afternoon and friends may call there.
