Andrew J. Johnson, Jr.
Age 75 of Newark, DE, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009.
He was the son of the late, Andrew J. Sr., and Florence Johnson. Andy retired from the Chrysler Corporation Newark Assembly Plant after 33 years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 1183. He also was a member of the Stage Hands Union #284. Andy was a mason with Unity Masonic Lodge #32, Delaware Consistory, Royal Arch Mason Chapter #10 and the Order of Eastern Star Brandywine #14.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Johnson in 1989. Andy is survived by, his daughter, Sylvia Plake; his grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Plake and by his great-grandchildren, Brianna and Logan Plake all of Belleville, IL.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the DOHERTY FUNERAL HOME, 3200 Limestone Road Pike Creek on Tuesday, June 30, at 1 pm, where visitation will be held beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
