Adolfo was survived by his wife Adelita F. Salazar; 5 sons: Eugene of Fairview, Rudy of El Guiqué, Ricky and Arthur of Chamita, and Felix of Albuquerque; 5 daughters: Nancy Rodríguez of Española, Elizabeth Roybal of Chamita, Agnes Maestas of Hernández, Brenda Ortiz of Arroyo Seco, Jeanette Medina of San Pedro; a grandson reared by him, Eddie Salazar of Chamita; 3 sisters: Ernestina Pacheco of Ojo Caliente, Rosa Salazar of Montibello, California; and Lena Córdova of Las Vegas, Nevada; 19 grandchildren and many other relatives.
A Rosary was on 25 March 1990 in St John the Baptist Church in San Juan Pueblo. Funeral services were on 26 March 1990 at the same church. Burial followed at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers: Chris Rodríguez, Jeff Salazar, Eddie Salazar, Arthur Salazar, Marvin Roybal and Michael Roybal.
