PAULINE COGGINS, 76 passed away December 15, 2006 at her residence in Santa Maria, CA, surrounded by her family. She was born April 21, 1930 in Autaugaville, AL, where she was raised and attended local school and graduated from Hicks Memorial High School in 1948. Following graduation, in November 1948 Pauline married Charles W. Coggins. In 1961 she and her husband and children moved to Newark, CA. After her children were grown and gone, she began a career in property management in the Newark, Pleasanton and Livermore, CA areas; retiring in 1992. Following the death of her husband in 2004 she moved to Santa Maria, CA. Pauline was an avid Bingo player and always enjoyed trips to different casinos and country and western music and collecting Tea Pots. Thru-out her life, Pauline was a caregiver to many and a friend to all. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck Coggins of Colorado Springs, CO and Mrs. Lee Coggins of Victorville, CA and Michael and Laurie Coggins of Newark, CA; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Lowell "Rip" Rippee of Santa Maria, and a daughter, Pam Coggins and her partner, Arlene Robles of Vallejo, CA; one brother, Asberry Middlebrooks and his wife, Ruth of Selma, Alabama and 7 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grand-children and 4 step-great grandchildren also survive, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Coggins in 2004, by her parents, John and Annie Middlebrooks and by 15 brothers and sisters Services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 West McCabe Road in Gustine, CA with Rev. Anthony Bargas of the Calvary Baptist Church in Los Banos, CA officiating. Visitations will be at the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary in Wednesday, December 20, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary & Crematory are in charge of funeral arrangements.
