Pamela Bernice Bonar (Youtsey)

Pamela was born in Anderson, IN. Jesus took her home on June 12, 2009 in Sonora, MX.

Pamela was a teacher at La Cima Middle School in Tucson. She received her Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Washington and Undergraduate degrees from Seattle Pacific University and the Fashion Institute of New York City. Pamela attended High School in Washington State and California.

Pamela's love of life was boundless and was expressed through her passion for the outdoors. She sky dived and scuba dived; climbed mountains and raced down ski slopes; she completed marathons and circled the globe with a backpack. A talented artist, Pamela exhibited her paintings in Tubac, Arizona.

She was generous with her gifts and shared them by volunteering for numerous other organizations - among them the Girl Scouts, teaching handicapped children to ride horses, and as a volunteer assistant to Pastor Norman Vincent Peale at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City.

Pamela's greatest joy was raising her daughters, Sophia and Sonja. She was a loving and devoted mother. Pamela will always be remembered for her generous, thoughtful, compassionate and fun loving spirit.

She is survived by her children, Sophia and Sonja; her parents, Joyce and Ben Youtsey; her brother, Tom Youtsey and sister-in-law, Kathy; niece, Jamie; nephews, Adam and Brett; and a large and loving extended family that will miss her deeply.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 18th, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue, WA.
