Robert "Don" Riddle was born to Vester "Brother" Riddle and Gladys Willis on Christmas Day. He was a cherubic little boy with beautiful red hair. He was loved by the whole Riddle family and lived with Maw and Paw Riddle for several years when he was a child. Much like his father, Don was quite the stinker. He loved horses with a passion and one family story has him bringing his pony up the steep front porch steps of the Riddle's house in Jonesboro. Thing was, the pony refused to go back DOWN the steps. Don, being the inventive sort, took the pony through the house to the back door where the back was more at ground level. This did not make Maw Riddle, who was very protective of her home, happy at all. Eventually she could laugh about it over time.

Don married Anita ('Nita) and they had the following children: Donnette, LaDette, Teb, and Shane.

Don became a weekend cowboy and loved to dress in western attire. Embracing the lifestyle with everything he had, he loved spending time with horses and at rodeos. He was rarely without his cowboy hat. Don worked on offshore oil rigs most of his adult life and usually ported out of Houma, Louisiana.

Don died unexpectedly at age 41 of a cerebral hemmorage and was found slumped over his Bible which was laying on the coffee table next to his cowboy hat. He had become an active Christian towards the end of his life and read the Bible daily.
