Obituary: R. W. Warren
Coalgate-Services for Raymond W. Warren, 80, will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jim Epperson Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Brewer will be in Coalgate Cemetery. Mr. Warren died Thursday at his home.
He was born, Feb. 28, 1897, in Dime Box, Texas, to William & Lucy Sanders Warren, & was a longtime resident of Coalgate. A veteran of World War I, he was a retired stockman & farmer, & also operated a bait shop.
On Oct. 16, 1928, he & Hazel Grove were married in Pauls Valley. She died in Coalgate, April 1, 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Hazel Jayne Self, Irving, Texas; four sons, Paul Franklin, Roseburg, Ore.,William Aubrey & Hoyt Clark, both of Coalgate, & Doyle Raymond, Texas City, Texas; one brother, J.M. Warren, Lufkin, Texas, & seven grandchildren.
Bearers will be Roy Ott, Oran Fowler, Carl Jump, Keith Cosgrove, John Belletini 7 Ted Flatt.
