Mrs. Carl Aggen, 72, of 2007 Randolph St., New Holstein, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein following a long illness.
The former Ellen Luehrs, she was born Dec 19, 1889, at Hayton, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Otto Luehrs. She attended the district schools and was married to Carl Aggen May 1, 1913, at Hayton. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in New Holstein and Royal Neighbors Camp 4484.
Survivors are one son, Harold of New Holstein; two brothers, Dr. H. Luehrs of Corpus Christi, Texas, George of New Holstein; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Aggen of New Holstein, Mrs. Minnie Schmidt of Chilton, and two grandchildren. Her husband died in 1959. She also was preceded in death by four brothers.
Services will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ in New Holstein. The Rev. Charles A Koch, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the city cemetery.
