Funeral Services For Arthur C. Appling

Arthur C. Appling, 68, a retired barber and lifelong resident of Montgomery City, died Monday, at Audrain Medical Center following a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Schlanker Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Robert Hester, Methodist Minister. Burial was in the Montgomery City Cemetery.

Mr. Appling was born in Mineola, March 31, 1904, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Appling. He was married to Miss Meta Lee on March 6, 1932, who survives at home.

He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. C . L. (Frances) Worland; two grandchildren, Rick and Tracy, all of Montgomery City; a brother, Burton of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Lou; a brother, Elliott, and a sister, Frances Appling Brooks.
