She was born March 18, 1910, in Shackelford County. She married Edward Asbill on Oct. 25, 1947, in Brownfield. He died Dec. 11, 1996.
She was last employed as a cashier in the cafeteria at Coronado High School. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Two sons, David Asbill and Larry Bounds, died in 1974 and 1986, respectively.
Survivors include three daughters, Jean Day of Levelland, Dolores Welch of Hot Springs National Park, Ark., and Lezell Wood of Mabank; and 13 grandchildren.
