Services for Mary Alice Munsinger Dobbs McIver, 86, of Tyler, and formerly of Elkhart, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bailey and Foster Funeral Home Chapel, Palestine with the Rev. Albert Munsinger and the Rev. Michael Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey and Foster Funeral Home Palestine. Mrs. McIver passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 in Tyler. She was born Nov. 15, 1922 in Elkhart, to Earl Charlie and Lula Belle Taylor Munsinger. Mrs. McIver was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Hospital Sunshine Guild and a longtime member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands, Ernest Dobbs and Henry McIver; son, Ernest C. Dobbs; two sisters; and five brothers. Mrs. McIver is survived by one son, Gary L. Dobbs and wife Kay; sister, Audrey Mae Higginbotham; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ernest Dobbs, Bobby Dobbs, Robbie Christie, Chance Dobbs, Jordan Dobbs and Earl Germany. Honorary pallbearers will be George Baum and David Germany.
