A Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with her precious father, March 3, 2005. A resident of West Monroe, LA, a former resident of Zachary and a native of Pollock. She was 78.

Visiting will be at Friday at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Azalea Rest Cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and William Peters; husbands, Forrest D. Woods, Waverly, IL, John V. Simpson, Zachary, LA, and Robert Edgington, West Monroe, LA, sisters, Glenda Joy Osborne; brothers, Cecil Artis Peters, Monroe, LA, Clifton Jarrell Peters, Monroe, LA; daughter in law, Judy Ruth Simpson, Zachary, LA.

She is survived by three sons and two daughters in laws: Terry Lynn and Wanda Woods, Homer, LA; Ricky L. Simpson, Zachary, LA, and John L. "Red" and Cynthia Simpson, Zachary; grandchildren, Jay and Jennifer Simpson, Mobile, AL, Laura and Jeff Hebert, Baton Rouge, Tisha Amy, Zachary, LA, Sherri Simpson, Baker; great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Trey Simpson of Mobile, AL, Kaylan and Jack Hebert of Baton Rouge, Hunter and Hannah Amy of Zachary, LA, Jordan Simpson, Darion Davis, Jalen Bolden of Baker, Alex, AJ and Terri Lynn Woods of Fayette, NC, Johnny and James Riiso of El Reno, OK; sisters: Shirley and Max Swayze, Swartz, LA, Anita and Earl Cole, West Monroe, LA, Billy Ray and Billie Joe Peters, Jonesboro, LA, Donald and Pat Peters, Bridge City, TX, Delwyn and Edna Peters, Jonesboro, LA; aunt, Polly Henderson, Monroe, LA.
