Clyde E. Decker, 76, a longtime Cashmere resident, died Wednesday, May 22, at Cashmere. He was born June 1, 1908, at Burlington and moved with his family to Mansfield in 1913 and then to Cashmere in 1921. He attended school at Cashmere and then worked as a painter until his retirement in 1970. He married Ona Watson Sept 19, 1933, at Everett and they lived in the Cashmere area since that time.
Survivors include his wife, Ona, a son, Everett, Cashmere; a daughter, Donna Timpe, East Wenatchee; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Bruan Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Drew officiating. Gale Slechta sang "In The Garden" and "Ivory Palaces" with Earl Barnes as organist. Burial took place in the Cashmere Cemetery with the following pallbearers: Bud. Schmltten, Ron Doane, John Fegley, Darrell Davis, Bert Paine and Perry Flick. Memorials are suggested to the Central Washington Hospital Memorial Fund. Braun Funeral Home, Cashmere, was in charge of arrangements.
