Johanne Catherine Dorthea Petersen was born the 31st of May, 1876, in Mou Mose, Denmark. She was baptized the 13th of August of the same year. She emigrated with her parents in 1886 and came to Palo Ato county (sic), Iowa, where they lived until 1893, when they moved to Emmett county (sic), Iowa. At this place she was married to Mr. A.B. Christensen on the 12th day of March, 1898. In 1904 they came to Thayer county (sic), Nebraska, and two years later they moved to Nuckolls county (sic) where they have lived since. She died at her home in Ruskin on the 19th day of March, 1929. -- Ruskin (From the News)
