Daughter of Henry Stix of Cincinnati.

Know as a patron of the arts and the author of poems and short stories, she was also a founder of the Home for Chronic Invalids on Fee Fee Road, president of the Associated Jewish Charities (which provided assistance to newly-arrived eastern European immigrants) and an active supporter of non-sectarian organizations which aided young women facing domestic problems.
