Alvenia, age 76, passed away at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich. She was the daughter of Thelbert O. Sr. and Sarah (Griffin) Buntin. She graduated from Mitchell College. She is survived by her children, Dwight Baldwin, Aaron Baldwin, Wesley Baldwin, and Angela Baldwin, her siblings, Katherine Hunt, Thelbert Buntin Jr., Calvin Buntin, and Ralph Carter, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, her son, Enoch Baldwin, and her sisters, Deloris Buntin and Edith Mae Buntin. Funeral services were held at Madry Temple Church in New London. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
