Mrs. Amy Ruth Anderson Allen, 81, of Tremonton, died Tuesday, March 13, 1984, in a Payson, Utah, hospital.

She was born April 28, 1902, in Bothwell. a daughter of Rasmas (Daddy) and Mary Johnson Anderson.

She married Roland Robert Allen Nov. 19, 1926, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died March 19, 1956.

She had lived in Whites Valley anf Bothwell before moving to Ttemonton in 1936.

She was educated in Bothwell, Garland and Brigham City.

She was a member of the LDS Church. She had served as secretary and counselor in the Relief Society in the Tremonton 2nd and 3rd wards. She had also served as a Relief Society visiting teacher, MIA President and teacher, drama leader and Sunday School teacher. She sang in the ward choir an received an honorary Golden Gleaner Award. She had written and read scripts for church holiday programs. She served an LDS Mission in the Central States from 1924 to 1926.

Surviving are three sons and four daughters, Theodore (Ted) Allen and Darwin Allen, both of Tremonton; Clair Allen, Hyde Park, Utah: Mrs. Ray (Carol) Sorensen, Howell, Utah; Mrs. Sheldon (Janiel) Christensen, West Valley: Mrs. Norman (Velva Lee) Rose, Tremonton; Mrs. Richard (Clyda) Lindsay, Spanish Fork; 59 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers and five sisters, Milton Anderson, Thatcher; Cleon Anderson, Clyde Anderson, Golden Anderson, Mabel Stokes, Mrs. Cecil (Wanda) Newman, Mrs. Henry (Stella) Newman, all of Bothwell; Mrs. Dean (Ruby) Orwin Tremonton; Mrs. Vera Smith, Preston, Idaho.

She was peceded in death by two sons, Richard (Dick) Allen and Dallas Allen.

Funeral services were held Friday at 12 noon in the Tremonton 3rd-8th Ward Chapel with Bishop Allan R. Barfuss officiating.

Interment in Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.
