E. A. McKENZIE DIES UNEXPECTEDLY

Edgar Allen McKenzie, 43, a resident of Hawkinsville for the past twelve years, died suddenly of a heart attack Saturday morning, April 21, at his home. Funeral services were held at 3:30 P.M. Monday in the First Baptist Church, Hawkinsville, with the Rev. B. A. Winburn officiating. Burial was in Orange Hill Cemetery, Clark Funeral Home in charge. Mr. McKenzie was a native of Jefferson County, Ga., a member of the First Baptist Church, Hawkinsville, a World War II veteran, a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was an insurance agent for the Life of Georgia Insurance Co. of Atlanta. Mr. McKenzie is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Wolfe; three daughters, Misses Jeannie, Joanne, and Judy McKenzie of Hawkinsville, a son, Jay McKenzie Hawkinsville; his mother, Mrs. M. L. McKenzie, of Vidalia, and by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were W. T. Boling, W. E. Slade, Thomas Herrington, Ray Lowery, Pearl Peacock, Ray Hill, Otis Mayo, and Aaron Floyd.
