The funeral for Elsie P. Wheeler, 99, formerly of 2102 Bigelow St., will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Geoffrey D. Coupland, rector, officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Wheeler died Thursday at United Helpers Nursing Home, where she had resided for 14 years.
Mrs. Wheeler was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. In earlier years, she worked at the former Ogdensburg silk mill and Cleveland Container.
Born Feb. 8, 1900, in Ogdensburg, she was a daughter of William and Mary Lyle Bryan.
She married Orrie L. Gagnon in 1924. He died July 3, 1950. She then married Henry Wheeler, who died in 1971.
Surviving are two sons, two daughters, a sister, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Two daughters, Mary Hutchison and Elizabeth Carr, and an infant son, Robert Gagnon, died before her.
