Marion E. Wells, 97, widow of Arthur H. Wells , formerly of Madrid, died Wednesday morning in the Hospice unit of Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home, Albany.
Mrs. Wells worked in the cafeteria at Madrid-Waddington Central School for many years.
Born May 22, 1906, in Chazy, daughter of William and Ethel Matott, she married Arthur H. Wells of Madrid on Oct. 25, 1931, in North Haverhill, N.H. Mr. Wells died in 1946.
Surviving are a daughter and a granddaughter, both of Guilderland, with whom she resided until recently; two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
An infant son, Arthur E., died in 1933.
