Wanda LaNae Curtis Anderson was born Wednesday, September 28, 1927 in Moroni, Utah to Newell Benjamin Curtis and Wanda Marie Averett. She grew up in Moroni and graduated from Moroni High School, Class of 1946.
LaNae married Elmo Harry Anderson on June 14, 1949 in the Salt Lake City and County Building. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple on April 23, 1953.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and served faithfully in numerous positions. She loved her family with all her actions and words.
LaNae passed away of natural causes on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at her home. She resided at 4216 West Annapolis Drive (4600 South) in the Granger area of West Valley City, Utah at the time of her death.
LaNae was survived by her sons, Kelly W. (Stephanie) Anderson, Washington; Laine (Suzanne) Anderson, Murray, UT; and Karl (Sonja) Anderson, West Valley City, UT; sisters, Colleen Anderson, Bountiful, UT; and JoAnn Lewellyn, West Valley City; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Harry Anderson, and son, Kurtis Elmo Anderson.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Academy Park Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 4605 West Westpoint Drive (4645 South) in West Valley City. The family will received friends at a viewing on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home located at 4335 West 4100 South in West Valley City.
LaNae was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at Valley View Memorial Park in West Valley City.
