Mrs. Frances Thoennes, widow of Nicholas Thoennes, died at her home at 1407 Grove street at 11:05 Saturday night, from ulceration of the stomach, after an illness of four years. She was born in Peru, March 23, 1855, but the greater part of her life was spent in Tippecanoe county. Mrs. Thoennes was an earnest member of St. Boniface church and she was an estimable woman. She is survived by the following children, Sergt. Robert M. with the 314 medical Supply Train, now serving in the American army in France; Michael F. of Chicago; Mrs. Joseph Myers, and Charles, Rudolph, Albert, Fred, Catherine and Lillian Thoennes, all of this city; Mrs. Fred Shoup, of Indianapolis; Miss Helen Thoennes, of Columbus, O., and William Thoennes, of Windsor, Canada. The following sisters: Mrs. John Thoennes, of Bloomington, Ill., Mrs. John Dherer, of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Louise Kade and Mrs. Madge Armtrout, of Peru, and three brothers, Jacob Eberle, of this city, and John Eberle, of Peru, and Joe Eberle, of Cactilia, Ohio. The funeral will be held from St. Boniface church tomorrow morning at 8:30 o'clock, and interment in St. Boniface cemetery.
