James Anderson "Penn" Bradshaw, 94, died June 8, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Born in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Charlie Robert and Minnie Wentz Bradshaw.

Penn was retired from J.P. Stevens & Co., and was a longtime member and former deacon of Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a devoted husband, an inspirational father and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Pearl Hester Bradshaw; brothers Ivery, Roy, Russell and Ernest.

Grandson-in-law Joey Dale Burke.

He is survived by one brother Richard C. Bradshaw of Alexis and one sister Louise Hager of Stanley

Children Betty Ann & R.J. Reid of Stanley, Ranny & Marlene Bradshaw of Belmont, and Johnnie Mack & Ann Bradshaw of Belmont

Ggrandchildren Andy & Bebe Reid of Belmont, Cheri & Boyce McKinney of Stanley, Marty & Angela Bradshaw of Gastonia, and Jamie & Joey Denton of Denver

Great-great-grandchildren Hanna, Julia, Isabella, Jacob, Joshua and Jayden Bass and Michael, Ava and Kylie Carpenter.

Funeral services were held at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church on Thursday, June 11, 2009 with Pastor Dr. Danny Penny, Rev. Tommy Fuquay and Rev. Joey Denton officiating.
