Marvene Merle McKinney Kyle was born March 1, 1948 to Troy Mitchell and Effie Opal McKinney. She passed from this world Friday, June 12, 2009 after a four year battle with cancer. She enjoyed helping people working as a home health aide. She was a loving, caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Marvene loved and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed time on the creek with her family and fishing. Marvene was very passionate about cooking.

Marvene was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Effie McKinney; one brother Paul Mitchell McKinney and three sisters Martha Smith, Walsie McKinney, and Judy Kay Bridge.

Survivors include five brothers and three sisters; Harold and Betty McKinney of Elm Springs, Arkansas, Preston and Karen McKinney of Springdale, Arkansas, Russell and Angie McKinney of Arkansas City, Kansas, Jerry and Rhonda McKinney of Springdale, Arkansas, Mike McKinney of Marshall, Arkansas, and Bob and Judy McKinney of Marshall, Arkansas, Velma and Sam Conn of Marshall, Arkansas, Terry Brennan of La Porte, Indiana, and Janie and Fritz Wagoner of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Survivors also include three daughters, two sons, and eight grandchildren: Melissa and J.J. Caldwell of Harriet, Arkansas, Angela and William (Tink) Howell of Plumerville, Arkansas, Nancy Barber of Springfield, Missouri, Daniel and Amber Kyle of Marshall, Arkansas, and Alan and Renee Kyle of Marshall, Arkansas. Grandchildren are Stacy Caldwell and Kenneth Ragland of Dennard, Arkansas, Jessica Caldwell of Russellville, Arkansas, Caleb Williams of Mountain View, Arkansas, Lydia and Nicholas Howell of Plumerville, Arkansas, Adam and Lari Beth Kyle of Marshall, Arkansas, and Derek Horton of Marshall, Arkansas, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2009 from 6—8 P.M. at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Harriet Assembly of God Church in Harriet, Arkansas with Bro. Donnie Horton officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Treat, George Manning, Brian Ragland, Ronnie Barrett, James (Wolf) Kyle, and James P. (Teeb) Kyle. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Passmore, Caleb Williams, Derek Horton, Adam Kyle, and Nicholas Howell.

Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
