Shirley Jean Grill, 79, died Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

She was born March 11, 1931 in Clifton, Idaho, to Geneva Sant and Roy Taylor. She lived and attended school in Clifton until her junior year of high school. She moved to Ogden where she attended Ogden High School graduating in 1949.

Shirley married Lee Murphy in 1950. From that marriage came four children: Sharon (Howard) Knoepfle, Sandi Hadley, Sheila (Kevin) Wooten and Michael (Jenny) Murphy. They were later divorced. She married Tom Grill in 1982 and gained three stepchildren: Sheri (Dale) Voisard, John (Marty) Grill and Dennis Grill; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and more on the way.

She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1990 following with 30 years of service.

Shirley enjoyed her garden and trips to Wendover.

Graveside services will be held Monday, June 15 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

Family will meet friends at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
