The 1900 Census for Bonpas Township, Richland County, IL, shows Mary E. as the wife of William Lemke. She was born in Jan. 1857, a daughter of William Allen and Hannah Peebles. William Lemke and Mary E. Allen were married Dec. 25, 1880. By the 1900 census they were parents of seven living children and the two sons buried here. The children then living were Henry W. 16, Hannah R. 11, Chas. T. 10, Bertha L. 8, Mary B. 6, Lottie P. 4, and Verna D. 6/12. The death record of George W. at Olney, IL shows he died June 5, 1886, age 4yr 7days.
