R.C. Clute Sr., 81, of Amarillo, died Saturday, April 18, 1998.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Sherman Eastland of Northwest Texas Healthcare Systems officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Clute was born in Sioux Falls, S.D. He had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 25 years. He was in the restaurant management business for more than 40 years. He retired in 1981 after 15 years with Texico Truck Town in Amarillo.
He married Viviette Byers in 1940 at Golden, Colo. She died in 1980. He also was preceded in death by a son, Edward Clute, in 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Henry of Amarillo and Barbara Zobens of Englewood, Colo.; a son, Bob Clute of Panhandle; two brothers, John Clute of Folsom, Calif., and E.L. Clute of Eugene, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at 4114 E. 31st. They request memorials be to the American Heart Association.
