Born in Thailand. Married Robert Cochard in Thailand in 1968. The marriage ended in divorce. Mother of Edmond(Lori)Cochard, Michael Cochard, and Lorraine(George)Williams. Grandmother of Vincent, Joseph, and Nicholas Williams and a granddaughter, Shea Elizabeth Cochard, due in April 2004.

Thongchit "TC" Cochard, 59, of Battle Creek, formerly of Downington, Pennsylvania, died Friday, January 9, 2004, at Leila Battle Creek Health Center.

She was born in Bangkok, Thailand, November 24, 1944. She completed her elementary and high school education in Thailand. She came to the United States in the mid 1960's and moved to Battle Creek in 1991.

She attended Kellogg Community College and received her Certificate in Nurse Aid Training. She has been employed by Heartland Health Center for several years.

She was a member of Life in Christ Ministries.

Her survivors include, sons, Edmond (Lori) Cochard, Michael (Cheri) Cochard, both of Battle Creek, daughter, Lorraine (George) Williams of Akron, Ohio, grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Vincent Williams, and Nikolas Williams, Cheyanne Cochard, and Shea Cochard; brothers, sisters, and other family members in Thailand.

She enjoyed tennis, was a member of the Minges Creek Racquet Club and had participated in many Tennis Championships. She was a member of several championship teams and won many trophies.

Her grandchildren were a special joy to her.

Visitation at T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at the funeral home.
