Irene passed away at a local hospital after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Zoppi. Survivors include her children, Denise Fritz and Michael Morrison, her brothers, Robert Yingling and Terry Winter, and two grandchildren. Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Cemetery in Vallejo.
