Floyd J. Blackley died Sunday, April 2, 1995 at his home.

Born August 10, 1905 in Heber City, Utah to John William and Martha Jones Blackley. Married Gladys Ann Webster, June 15, 1927. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on April 26, 1951.

Active member of the LDS Church. Loving father and grandfather. His grandchildren loved him dearly. He was a friend to all. He loved BYU basketball and football. He was a miner and welder and a retired employee of the physical plant at BYU. His love for woodwork and rockwork is displayed in his home as well as his families'.

Survive by wife, Gladys; and daughter, Darl (Junior) Provost of Heber City; brother, Royal of Tehachapi, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his sons: Marvis and William F. Blackley; sisters, Margaret Pierce, Annie McCarthy, Florence Rockhill and Mae Allen.

Funeral services Thursday, April 6th at 12 noon in the Heber 3rd Ward (240 East 200 So.). Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m at Olpin Mortuary, Heber City and at the church Thursday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Burial, Heber City Cemetery.
