Lillian E. Sargent, 103, of 1123 Ford St., died early Saturday at her home.

Mrs. Sargent worked at the former silk mill in Ogdensburg during World War II and later at Henry Sargent and Ted Sargent 's Neighborhood Market.

Born July 5, 1901, in Ogdensburg, daughter of Napoleon and Anna Rubideau Clouthier , she attended St. Peter's School.

She married John B. Sargent on Nov. 14, 1922, at Notre Dame Church with Monsignor A.D. Charbonneau officiating. The couple lived in Pyrites for a few years while Mr. Sargent was employed at Degrasse Paper Co. and returned to Ogdensburg in 1936. Mr. Sargent died Oct. 12, 1947.

Surviving are a daughter, a granddaughter and several cousins.

A sister, Nola Perry, and five brothers, Joseph, Herbert, Edward, Charles and Lawrence Clouthier , died before her.

A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. F. James Shurtleff, pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
