Ruth Ebert of Haviland died March 17 at Haviland. She was 52 years old.
Ruth Ellen was born December 28, 1932, at Dighton, the daughter of Joe Arthur and Edna Belle Parks Johnson. She was married to Cecil Ebert September 10, 1950, at Dighton. She was a community babysitter at Haviland and was the wading pool attendant for the past two summers. She was a former Hoisington, Beaver and Wichita resident and had been a resident of Haviland since 1974.
She was a member of the Haviland Friends Church, Friends Bible College Ladies Auxiliary and Leona Missionary Society, all of Haviland.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Dennis, Colwich, Douglas, Wellsford, Dean, Haviland; one daughter, Debbie Routon, Hugoton; three sisters, Ora Mae McWhirter and Elaine Shapland, both of Dighton, Doris Hudson, Lyons; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 19 at the church with the Rev. Gary Wright officiating. Burial was at Haviland Cemetery.
Family suggests memorials to the church in care of the Haviland State Bank.
