The funeral for Donald A. Raven, 73, of 28 Graves St., retired maintenance supervisor for Gouverneur Central Schools, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home, Heuvelton, with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Burial will be in Foxwood Memorial Park, Ogdensburg.

Mr. Raven died Monday afternoon at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse.

Surviving are his wife, three daughters, six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born April 9, 1918, in the town of Macomb, a son of Leon and Hazel Murton Raven . He married Muriel A. Drummond May 15, 1937, at the Methodist Episcopal parsonage with the Rev. Harold A. Thomas officiating.

The couple lived in the town of Macomb after their marriage. Mr. Raven worked on his father's farm until 1970, when they moved to Gouverneur. He was employed two years at the Gouverneur Cooperative and 14 years as maintenance supervisor for Gouverneur Central Schools. He retired in May 1983.
