Reidsville– Mildred Collie Bray, 69, of 1010 Lawsonville Avenue, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 9, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 12, 2009 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Bray and Rev. Garfield Doss officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mildred was born in Rockingham County to the late George Thomas Collie, II and Hazel Perkins Collie. She was a member of Promise Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Joseph Creed.
She is survived by her husband, Carl "Wayne" Bray of the home; daughters, Pamela Ferrell-Wilson, Lisa Hanks and husband, Jerry Hanks, Sr., Carla Soyars and husband, Randy; foster daughter, Shannon Poindexter; special friend, Jessica Cobb; grandchildren, Crystal, Jerry "Brother" Jr., Kayla, Amy, Kevin and Katie; great grandchildren, Bryson, Madison, Alyssa and Jackson; brothers, George T.
