Architect. A native of Maryland, he lived in Baltimore where he spent most of his early youth. Price married Mary Josephine Lee in 1871. They had two children: a son, William Lee Price and a daughter, Emily Price Post who became a world-renowned authority on etiquette.

Best known for what many consider his architectural masterpiece, the Château Frontenac hotel in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada has become that city's most notable landmark. Standing on top of a hill overlooking the old part of the city, the hotel has become a Canadian landmark so much that it was recreated for the Canadian pavilion at the EPCOT Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. He also designed the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, Canada and many other hotels and train stations throughout North America.
