Marilyn (Moogie or Jake) Jacobsen of Florida, formerly of Bedford, IN, died Wednesday, September 25, 2002, at the Bedford Regional Medical Center. Born on July 30, 1936, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Richard and Emma (Gann) Lambton. She was married to Richard Elliott Jacobsen and he resides in Redwing, MN.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Mark and Karen Beaver Jacobsen of Bedford, IN; two grandchildren, Kole and Kori Anna Jacobsen, both of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Madge Ballard and Fritzi Hopkins, both of Leesburg, FL; one brother, Gary Lambton of Mooresville, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jeanne (Shorty or Tootsie) Hayworth, and Lina (Lucy) Duncan; and one brother, Bennie Lambton.

She was an LPN at Palm Beach County Detention Center in West Palm Beach, FL, a graduate of Bedford High School, and served in the the Air Force from 1955 to 1958. She later served in the National Guard for several years and was an active member of the American Legion Post #0250 of Mitchell. She was of Protestant faith.

Services for Marilyn Jacobsen will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 28th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by members of American Legion Gillen Post #33 of Bedford.
