Thomas Collon was born in Canada on June 19, 1861 to John and Mary Ellen (McDonald) Collon.
MILITARY RECORD:
Enlisted as a Private on June 23, 1898 in Seattle, Washington. Served with Company "B", 1st Washington Infantry. Discharged November 1, 1899 due to demobilization. Pension awarded on Certificate No. 1 220 141.
Mr. Collon was admitted to the Washington Veterans' Home on October 14, 1929. He requested admission at the age of 68 years and indicated that he had lived in the state continuously since 1898 and was a resident of King County. He was 5 foot 7-1/2 inches tall, had a medium complexion, and was a single man with no children. Herbert Oliver of Bothell was to be notified in case of his death. His next of kin was his sister, Elizabeth Ann Rency of Bothell.
He died November 29, 1938 and is buried in the Home Cemetery. He was 77 years old.
