Mrs. J.H. Barrett
Dies at Home Here

Mrs. Fannie Leftwich Barrett, 46, wife of John Harwood Barrett, died early Tuesday at her home, 3605 Chamberlayne Avenue, after an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Wednesday, at the Cox Funeral Home in Norfolk. The services will be conducted by the Rev. George P. Gunn of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Oak Grove, Portsmouth.

Mrs. Barrett, a daughter of Douglas Lee Leftwich Sr. of Darlington, S.C. and the late Mrs. Rosa Wertenbaker Leftwich, was a native of Henrico County. She had been living in Richmond for the past two years, having been a resident of Norfolk prior to that time.

Surviving are her husband, her father, a daughter, Miss Dorothy Leftwich Barrett; two brothers, Ernest H. Leftwich of Darlington, S.C., and Charles W. Leftwich of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Virginia Leftwich Bell of China, and a half-brother, Douglas Leftwich Jr. of Baltimore.
