Coco was my brother, Jim's, dog. I was not a dog person, but Coco was such a nice dog, I changed my mind! After Jim passed away, we were cleaning out his house. Coco was wandering around outside, she never came inside because it was too hot for her. We opened the door and she came in and looked in every single room for Jim. She spent a long time in the room in which he passed away.
Like I said, Coco was such a nice dog. She only barked when necessary, like when there was a bear in the yard! She came when she was called and if she was bad and left the yard, she would run right over to her doghouse and let you chain her up. She didn't even try to get away!
My father adopted Coco after Jim's passing. He took her for lots of long walks and I think it was good for both of them.
Coco fell down the steps and broke her hip. She had to be put down. She lived a very long, and we hope, happy life. We all were so sad to lose another piece of Jim.
