Marriage 2: Lowell Aven
JoAnn Aven 61, of Nixa, died at 10 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Ozark Nursing and Care Center following a one year illness. Services for Mrs. Aven will be held today (Thurs. March 16) at 1 p.m. in the Adams Funeral Chapel, Ozark. Burial will follow in the Payne Cemetery, Nixa. She was born April 5, 1927 at Gainesville, the daughter of Clifford and Nellie Conklin Sanders. A long time resident of the Nixa area, Mrs. Aven had been a waitress employed by the Salebarn Cafe. She attended the First Baptist Church of Nixa. Mrs. Aven was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Pat. Surviving are her husband, Lowell, Nixa; two sons, Michael Aven and Danny Curtis, and one daughter, Kathy Aven, all of Nixa; five sisters, Helen Vernon, Gallatin, Sue Nell Carter, Springfield, Virginia Weridel, Cuba, Margurite Cobb, St. Louis, and Rose Allison, Springfield; two brothers, Ed Sanders, Springfield, and Oscar Sanders, St. Louis; and seven grandchildren.
