Nellie May Adkins, 91, of Vienna, died Sunday, Jan. 5, at Maries Manor Health Care Center in Vienna. She was born on August 23, 1905, in Maries County, a daughter of Henry and Martha (Roberds) Pendleton. On April 24, 1942 in Maries County, she was married to Leslie Benny Adkins, who preceded her in death on October 19, 1970.

A homemaker, she and her husband operated the family farm until his death. She was a lifelong resident of Maries County.

Survivors include: two sons - Dennis Paul Adkins of Meta and Samuel D. Adkins of Vienna; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Charlsie Green, Bertha Porter, and Clara Pilz; and one brother, Andrew Pendleton.

Services were Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Bro. Manuel Scaton officiated. Interment was in Stokes Cemetery near Meta.
