William R Boll Route 4
William R. Boll, 75, of Route 4, Lowell community, died at 12:50 a.m. today in Methodist hospital at Indianapolis after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Hathaway-Myers funeral home by Rev. Matthew Malott. Burial will be at Garland Brook cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and until time for services Friday. Boll was born Sept. 25, 1899 in the Lowell community, to the late Thomas and Maggie Adams Boll. On April 12, 1925, in Bartholomew county, he married Dorothy Mounts, who died April 22. He and his wife lived on their farm in Lowell community for about 50 years. A retired farmer, he was a member of Bartholomew County Farm Bureau, a member and past deacon and trustee of the New Hope Christian church. Surviving are two nephews W. Marshall Boll of Route 4 and Herschel Boll of Champaign, Ill. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse L. Boll, and a sister, India Owens.
