Robert A. Palmer, 58, of 213 Oak St., died Saturday at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center. He had been ill with cancer.
Mr. Palmer worked in construction for various firms in the north country including J.L. Ledger Paving and St. Joseph Mining Co., Edwards.
Born Nov. 30, 1944, in Ogdensburg, son of Jennie Johndrow, he attended school in Lisbon.
He married Keitha Perry on Nov. 11, 1961, in Canton.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons and a daughter-in-law, a sister, a stepbrother, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fox-McLellan Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Spratt officiating. Entombment will be in Foxwood Memorial Park.
