Based on my observations, Huel Hemby was one of the original interments in this cemetery. He seemed to be a white farmer out of Pitt County. I thought this was an African-American Cemetery. My research matches Huel with Nettie Case and children Elias, Amos, Elizabeth, John, Luke, and Ann.
