ROCKTON - Forest A. Conklin, 75, of Rockton, Ill., died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1992 in Beloit Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1917 in Beloit, the son of James H. and Delia Johnson Conklin. He married Nora E. Doty on Nov. 2, 1946 in Rockton.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had served as an elder. He was employed at Fairbanks Morse for 37 years retiring in 1983. He a member of Fairbanks Morse Quarter Century Club. He was an avid reader and loved to travel.
Surviving are his wife, Nora; one sister, Barbara (Leland) Hanson of Rockton; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Willard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 1992 in St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. William W. Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Schoenfeld Funeral Home, Beloit.
