Cyrus Abraham died of sickness and sent to Jefferson Barracks while serving in the Civil War. He was in Company D. 28th Iowa Infantry. He is buried under his middle name Abraham. This tintype photo taken of Abraham in his uniform during his period of service in the Civil War was found by his son William. Abraham's father William took his three son's, Abraham, Isaac, and William, also a son-in-law Willard Wilkinson to Davenport where they joined others of their division. Isaac died at Milliken's Bend, Louisana while serving in the Civil War. He also was in Company D, 28th Iowa Infantry.
