Calvin was born in Jonesboro, LA to Rankin and Dixie Anderson. He passed away in Bossier City on August 22, 2010. He was an Electrician and a resident of Shreveport, before moving to the Northwest Veterans Home in Bossier. He was an active member of Mid City Baptist Church. Calvin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Josie Gunter Anderson and son, Calvin C. Anderson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Eula Pharr Anderson; sons, Lester J. Anderson and Bobby Gunter; daughters, Patsy Jones and Floy Alexander; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Robe, Rayburn and Carlton Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Travis Alexander, Paul Scioneaux, Richard Baack, and Bill Henderson.
