Funeral services for Daisy Ree Prewitt Laurence, 91, of Anacoco were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Hornbeck Bible Baptist Church in Hornbeck the Bros. Andy Rushing, Donnie Masters and Bobby Burnett officiated. Burial followed in Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Mrs. Laurence died Wednesday, April 27, at her residence in Anacoco. She was preceded in death by her husband, David P. Laurence; son, Carroll Ercell Laurence; grandson, Billy Laurence and her brothers and sisters, Aubie Prewitt, Beulah Owers, Carroll Prewitt, Hollis Prewitt, Lois Prewitt and Eula Langton. She is survived by one daughter, Dianne Stokes of Anacoco; one son, Frankie I. Laurence of Florien; four grandchildren, Carroll David Laurence and Ronald D. Laurence of Turkey Creek, Lynn Laurence of Anacoco and Casey Stokes of Novato, Calif and two great-grandchildren Calli Stokes and Cole Stokes of Novato, Calif.
