Mrs. Sudduth Dies At 99

Services for Mrs. Lula Lavenia Sudduth, 99, were held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Wake Forest United Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Sudduth died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Memphis. She had been living with her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Cox in Memphis for four years. Prior to that time she had lived in Attala County.

She was the widow of John W. Sudduth.

Officiating at the funeral was the Rev. Josh Ellard. Burial was in Wake Forest Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Odom of Birmingham, Ala., Mrs. Lillie Sudduth of Ruleville, and Mrs. Lucille Cox of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons, George Sudduth of Warsaw, Va., Walter Sudduth of Clarksdale and Lonzo Sudduth of Livermore, Calif.; 31 grandchildren, 96 great grandchildren and 88 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were the following of her grandsons, Walter Odom, Hubert Odom, Cephus Lacy, James Sudduth, Alton Lacy and Milton Earl Chunn.

Nowell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
